The events are being held in Liverpool, Yorkshire, Midland and Thames Valley to launch manifesto on Monday.

London Gatwick Airport is also trying at its own end for the permission to build another runway. The authorities of Gatwick Airport began a campaign tour in Manchester last week with upcoming visits to Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

They claim that if another runway is built, then they will provide the cheaper flights to and from South East and greater economic benefits across the country.

The Chief Executive of Heathrow Airport said:
“Economic security, opportunity for people in every part of Britain, outward looking abroad, but fair to our neighbors at home – that is the promise of our manifesto. But, we can’t do it alone – we need people across the country to let the Prime Minster and the Government know that they cannot just hope for a stronger economy and country – they need to choose it and the right choice is Heathrow.”

The Chief Executive of Gatwick Airport said:
“With the Government shortly set to make a decision on airport capacity, it is important that the regions and nations of the UK know how expansion in the South East will benefit them. Rather than concentrating growth in a corner of west London, Gatwick expansion will spread more evenly the economic benefits which will help deliver regional powerhouses across the UK.”
